RMS Lusitania Anniversary Commemoration 2023
This year marks 108 years since the luxury Cunard liner RMS Lusitania was torpedoed 12 miles south of the Old Head during World War One. Every year we host a ceremony in the Lusitania Memorial Garden to reflect on the devastation that was caused by this horrific act of war.
This year our guest speaker is Graham Carr-Jones, a relative of Edward Carr-Jones. Edward was the pianist aboard the Lusitania and did not survive the sinking. His body was never recovered.
You are invited to join us at the Lusitania Memorial Garden on Sunday 7 May for our Lusitania Anniversary Ceremony.
The ceremony will begin at 2pm sharp.
